Funerals, Kidnappings, Swizzle Sticks and other distractions.
- An evening of short plays by Christopher Durang
Six one act plays by acclaimed playwright Christopher Durang told with a unique directorial twist by Katey Carson. She's directed award winning films and documentaries, and Carson's take on the tragically funny texts that made Durang famous makes for catastrophic comedy.
Durang's absurd characters in seemingly ordinary situations are brought to life by Adrienne Pearce, Dylan Esbach, Danieyella Rodin, Mark Penwill, Caroline Midgley, Joe Vaz, Heike Brunner, Kate McDonald, Alistair Moulton-Black, Roxanne Gabriels, Mark Sykes.
Together they will help audiences navigate stories around a man at the traffic department, mourners at a funeral, a chatty old lady discussing photosynthesis, and divorcees at dinner, good luck to them! Durang holds up a larger-than-life mirror to modern society and its unwritten codes.
